As you can see below I have purchased a new used car...for dirt cheap! It is a 1996 Chrysler Neon. It is a great little car for the money. The only thing that really disappoints me about it is that it is not a 5 speed. But what a deal! Hopefully I can have it on the road by the end of this week. It is going to take some time getting use to driving an automatic.

The car is a four door, fully loaded 2.0L, 4 cylinder engine, air-conditioning, low milage...you get the picture. It was an older couple who sold it to me...she had a stroke and doesnt drive it anymore. We just have to do the safety and a new car battery.

A Pat On My Back!

I successfully managed to turn an oversize t-shirt from work into a baby tee using my sewing machine and another one of my baby tees for a template. Clap, clap, clap! The t-shirt is a promotional t-shirt we are to wear for the next week at work to promote the Baby Days week. They only give out one size-XL and I just drown in them. Now it is a pretty cool t-shirt. Bonus-I dont have to wear my Wal-Mart smock all week. Oh and in case you are wondering when you come in the store, the tees are just for the fashion associates that opt to wear them.

Here is a song I just really love to sing along with:

BETHANY DILLON LYRICS

"For My Love"

Walk towards me
I want to hear
The heavens singing over you
When you breathe
And look at me
I want to be captured by you

Gaze into my eyes
And let me know you’d fight
Thousands, for my love
Slip your hand in mine
Ask me to dance with you tonight
Just ask me for my love

I want to hide
What’s deep in my eyes
I’m scared to be known by you
But when I turn my head
And see you there
I want to be pursued

Gaze into my eyes
And let me know you’d fight
Thousands, for my love
Slip your hand in mine
Ask me to dance with you tonight
Just ask me for my love

A dream I won’t wake from
A story that will never end
The ground your feet walk on
Let me be there, let me be there

Gaze into my eyes
Let me know you’d fight
Thousands, for my love
Slip your hand in mine
Ask me to dance with you tonight
Just ask me for my love

Gaze into my eyes
Let me know you’d fight
Thousands, for my love
Slip your hand in mine
Ask me to dance with you tonight
Ask me for my love

I am kind of a hopeless romantic and this is one of those hopeless romantic songs...*SIGH*

Hi, sorry it has been a while. I have been having a bad week and no ambition to update. I think the winter blues are starting to kick in. Meh!

I still havent found a new car. I was getting frustrated with it, but now I just dont care. The right car will show up at the right time and in the meantime I am still driving the shit box(Sorry Betty...I still love you...FYI: Betty is the name of my car)...It is still drivable...Opa fixed the headlight and parking light so I can still have it on the road. Hopefully something by spring so I can visit my friend in Kitchener and family in Hamilton. That is what bothers me the most that I can not do those things...no highway driving. :(

I went to church today. I usually hibernate in the winter, but I was up and at 'er this morning. It was good. I showed up early so I could hang out in the nursery with babies! Gosh they are soo cute. Wonder if I will be blessed with my own some day?!.

I was trying to think of some likes and dislikes last night but fell asleep. Here are a few that I did come up with.

LIKES:
  • Lavender (MMM, I am obsessed with the smell right now.)
  • Clean Sheets
  • Coloured Sharpies
  • Honda Civics-5 speed ofcourse!
  • Wild Flower Bouquets
  • Romantics
  • Being treated like a woman
  • 40's Fashion
  • Oldies Music
  • Hard-Workers
  • Passerby's that smile or say Hello
  • Doing the same as the above
  • Sleeping In
  • Home-made meals/food
DISLIKES
  • People who block entrance/exits while having conversations
  • Dirty looks
  • Cat hair
  • Thick bra straps under spaghetti tank tops...sleazy!
  • Smokers...but I still like the people, just not the habit
  • Conceitedness
  • Not expressing ones self
  • People who constantly yell at their kids (I see this alot at work.)
  • People who dont listen
  • Slackers
  • Selfishness (Boundries are OK though)
So those are a few...I am sure I could come up with a lot more but surprisingly it was difficult when I actually made it a point to sit down and make a list.

Some other things on my mind and how friends have influenced me and my thinking and how I would like to do things in regards to child-rearing...

  • I would like to be a stay at home mom.
  • I will definately breast-feed my kids.
  • I want to home-school my children.
  • I am against male circumcision(there are 2 links here.)
  • I am anti-vaccinations...do the research folks! Alot of the vaccinations were/are derived from aborted fetuses...SAD!..amoung other controversies.
  • I would like use cloth diapers.
  • Make my own baby food.
  • Have an organic garden to feed my family with/make the baby food with.
  • I like the idea of The Continuum Concept and "family bed."
Well that is all for now...Hopefully this post will generate some interesting comments.

As you can see from the pictures above...I was in a serious car accident today. My car is a complete write off!

Can I just say: IT WASNT MY FAULT! (Yes, I soaped that into my window because I still had to finish my errands before I arked my car for good.)

I was T-Boned by a Dodge Truck on 13th Ave between 10th and 11th Street. I saw the truck make the stop at the stop sign but when I got closer he pulled out and smacked right into the passenger side of my vehicle. I don't think he looked, because I have no idea how he could have missed me.

So my car is a write off, but I am all in one piece. So far. I am a bit sore, but tomorrow will tell if there is anything more to it. I also got pummeled by the 30 lb shipment that I was heading out to mail to Australia. That hurt too. The guy hit me so hard too, that I couldnt get the glove compartment out to get my licensing information out. Eventually we got it pryed open with my ice-scraper.

Anyways, I am still shaken, 7 hours later. I loved my car so much. Got to look for a new one now. My grandparents are dealing with the whole insurance thing for me.

I am in Hamilton again so I can not post any pics yet of my vacation to BlueMountain. All I can say is that it was an amazing time. Later!
