Hamilton Community Peregrince Project

There a 3 hardy falcon additions to the brood this year. I am a Falcon watcher here in Hamilton and Madame X nests just a short distance from my home on the Jackson Square Mall.

Occasionally you can see the Falcons taking a break on a hydro line along highway 6 from Hamilton to Guelph.

Once I saw a falcon chilling out on the letter 'F' on a Fortinos sign up on the mountain. (Side note: Fortinos is my favourite grocery store and in my opinion they have the best coffee and the best croissants...amoung other things...oh and they carry President's Choice products.)

(Madame X was born on a bridge on Pennsylvania Route 309, the Cross-Valley Expressway in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Banded as a hatchling on 7, June 1999 she was known to the falcon watchers in Northeast PA as 'Runaround Sue', a name suggested after she was found running along the expressway guide wall one morning. We (Hamilton Community Peregrin Project) are keeping the folks in Pennsylvania posted on Madame X's progress.) Madame X has been nesting here in Hamilton now since 2001.
